While I love the whole idea of getting a new computer...especially when ours is so bogged down and slow, it sure isn't fun having to set it all up again. putting all the programs on, setting up the email, finding all my favorite web sites and bookmarking them again, getting everything I need off the old one. which reminds me, I still have to get Itunes going on here. I guess it's worth all the work in the end. I just got photoshop on our new computer and am finally able to edit a few pictures...
Here's a cute one of my little urban ballerina. Every once in a while she'll pose a little for me. :)
where does the time go?
My oldest 'baby' will be graduating from high school in just a couple weeks and I still find it hard to believe 18 years have gone by since I first held her in my arms. Before I get too teary, I thought I'd share a little 'then and now'
Here she is at her first graduation....from preschool 13 years ago. Sorry for the bad scan, but it's an old picture. (and a polaroid, no less) :)
And here are a couple I took yesterday all decked out in her new cap and gown and all the honor society cords to go with it.

valentines
my girls had to make valentine mailboxes for school and they did a great job! My oldest saw them and asked if I took any pictures of them and you know what, it didn't even occur to me! I must be losing it! =)
So, I caught them outside yesterday and made them pose with their mailboxes. They're so proud of their creations! Here are a few I had fun playing with to make them a bit more interesting. :)
I can't wait to see all their valentines! They don't really get the concept yet, so it'll be fun to see how excited they are when they come home on Friday!

Ok, so it's not the letter C. I took some pictures of E & M today trying to get something cute for their valentines. Then we went for a fantastic dinner at our favorite restaurant right here in Buford...YUM!

Big A little a, what begins with A?
I'm giving myself a little challenge to see if I can find something from the alphabet to photograph each day. I like challenges. :) I've determined though that nothing starts with A except apples. Well, and alligators, but we don't have any of those here.

I added a couple pages to the left sidebar. One is for the current contest I have running and the other is for any specials I have going on. I'll post about them here too, but that's where you'll always be able to find the information instead of having to look back through the posts. There's still plenty of time to get in on the current contest!
It's nice to have some warm weather again after that cold spell! Miss E. just loves playing with her puppy. She really is on cloud nine. I saw this nice chance for some sun flare, so I snapped a few pictures of the girls dancing around the yard. Here's one of my favorites.
Sunday
What is it about Sundays and Chinese food? It's pretty much a given that we'll be eating take-out from Sunshine Chinese in Suwanee on a Sunday. I love that I won't have to cook for one night. My little ones love those tiny ears of corn that will undoubtedly show up in someone's meal and the water chesternuts (as they like to call them). It's kind of funny when I think about the fact that I had never had Chinese food during my whole childhood! The first time I had it was in college and I thought it was so cool how the food really did come in those cute boxes like I saw I TV! LOL I must have led a sheltered life...my two-year-old on the other hand is a connoisseur of Chinese food. I remember when I first started eating it I would only ever get sweet and sour chicken. I was afraid to try anything else. Nowadays we try to mix it up a bit, though there are some staples. Crab rangoons (which I had never heard of until moving down here to GA), steamed dumplings, spring rolls, and pork lo mein. The girls love hot and sour soup, but I'm not a big fan. I'll usually get some kind of chicken dish because I know the girls will eat it. Tonight, I tried their General T's chicken. I hadn't had it in years, but I sure don't remember it being super spicy back when I did! Maybe I've just become a wimp in my old age. ;) Next week maybe I'll go back to sweet and sour...

I was all excited for parent observation day at ballet school today, only to find out when I got there that the girls' teacher was sick so it's been postponed. :( The only thing I brought with me though was my camera (I usually bring a book or some work to do while I wait), so I snuck a few pictures through the door. Thankfully the substitute teacher left it open or I would have been really bored! Here are a couple cute ones.
